South Lincs Foodservice sold to Bidvest

Bidvest Foodservice has acquired South Lincs Foodservice, an independently run foodservice supplier based in Sutterton, South Lincolnshire, which supplies a range of over 4,500 products to the professional caterer, restaurant, pub, café, retail and hotel trade. Initium advised the shareholders of South Lincs Foodservice throughout the transaction.

Speaking to us following the transaction, Robert Spenceley of South Lincs offered insights into the sale process: “The business was getting to a stage where it was about to need major investment to take it forward, so we decided to look at all the options. I was surprised how many companies showed an interest in us, not only from our field but from other areas as well.”
