London-based Pearson plc, a global leader in publishing and education, has acquired Cambridge-based Icodeon, a dynamic software development business for the e-learning sector.

Founded in 2003, at the time of the transaction, Icodeon specialised in providing SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) solutions, enabling rapid deployment of SCORM functionality to new and existing internet-based e-learning systems. The company’s flagship product, the Icodeon SCORM Player, was designed for seamless integration into various e-learning platforms. ​
