Sarah Bates
Financial Controller
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Sarah joined us in 2018. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function, internal and external financial reporting, and supporting the business on all matters financial.
Sarah is the Employee Representative on our own Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) board, and as such, she is uniquely placed to support Initium clients considering or transitioning to an EOT.
She is also a member of our dedicated Community Team, who together plan and deliver our charitable and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Sarah qualified with Macintyre Hudson and then moved into commerce, where she gained a wealth of experience working in and managing finance departments within a variety of sectors. She worked for Virgin Limited Edition for 14 years and held the position of Group Financial Controller.
Away from work, Sarah is happiest walking in the countryside with her greyhound, Ruban. If she can persuade them, she will also be joined by her husband and daughters, but they are often put off by her shortcuts, which somehow always make the walk seem longer…
