Cake Craft World sold to Dr. Oetker UK

Cake Craft World, an online cake decoration and sugarcraft supplies business, has been acquired by leading food brand Dr. Oetker.

Founded in 1978, at the time of the transaction, Cake Craft World was based in Sevenoaks, Kent and offered over 10,000 products, including cake decorations, baking equipment, tools, books, and packaging, catering to both hobbyist and semi-professional bakers.

Dr. Oetker UK, part of the Oetker Group – a large, privately held German conglomerate, is a prominent player in the British food industry, offering a diverse range of products including frozen pizzas, baking ingredients, cake decorations, and chilled desserts. Operating from its Leeds-based headquarters, the company has become a staple in UK households, with popular brands like Ristorante, Chicago Town, and a wide array of home baking products that cater to both amateur and seasoned bakers.
