Prokill sold to Rentokil Initial plc

Crawley-based Rentokil Initial plc, a world leader in pest control and well-being services has acquired Bournemouth-based professional pest control company and franchisor Prokill. The shareholders of Prokill were advised throughout the transaction by Initium.

The acquisition of Prokill was part of Rentokil’s strategic plan to expand its pest control services portfolio

Established in 2002, at the time of the transaction, Prokill operated as a network of locally owned franchises, which provided localised pest control services across the UK. Rentokil retained this franchise model post-acquisition, allowing Prokill to continue serving regional markets under its existing brand name. Prokill continues to operate under its original branding, maintaining its identity in the market while benefiting from Rentokil’s resources and expertise. Prokill provides commercial and domestic pest control, encompassing insects, rodents, birds, and other wildlife, such as foxes and moles. Services include anything from one-off pest control treatments to full monthly contracted service and support.
