
APS Project Management sold to Arcadis NV
Listed Dutch engineering and consultancy group Arcadis has acquired project management and QS firm APS Project Management Ltd. APS Project Management was advised by Initium Corporate Finance. Arcadis bought 100% of APS’ UK business and 70% of its operation in Dubai.
Established in 1985, at the time of the acquisition in 2007, APS Project Management Ltd managed a wide variety of building projects, including commercial, leisure, retail, industrial, residential and telecommunications. Based in the UK, the company’s activities extended throughout the UK, Europe and Eastern Europe and further afield into Asia, The Gulf, Africa, and the Pacific. At the time, the company had a turnover of £9m and a workforce of 70.
Arcadis is a leading global design, engineering, and consultancy firm specialising in sustainable solutions for natural and built assets. Founded in 1888 in the Netherlands, it has expanded its operations to over 30 countries, employing more than 36,000 professionals and had gross revenues of £5bn in 2023. The company’s services encompass architecture, environmental consulting, project management, and urban planning. Notable projects include the design of London’s Emirates Stadium and the redevelopment of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s White Hart Lane grounds. At the time, the acquisition of APS Project Management followed Arcadis’ acquisition of architectural firm RTKL, and the acquisition of QS and project management group AYH in 2005.
