Debbie Henderson
People and Culture Director
Debbie and her team in Corporate Services are responsible for all aspects of human resources, office management, IT, and everything in between.
She works with all corners of the business to ensure that people are at the forefront of the business thought processes, shaping our powerful people impact through development and improvement by challenging and changing up our thinking. Debbie argues that she has the best job, as her role at Initium includes culture, people and community – and she really enjoys the variety and challenge those bring.
Before joining us in 2007, Debbie worked across diverse industries including retail, recruitment, payroll, and unionised logistics. Debbie is a chartered Fellow of the CIPD with a diploma in HR Management. She also holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Biological Sciences.
Debbie adores donning her walking gear and exploring the outdoors with Bean (also pictured, and our very friendly office dog). Tramping cross-country offers her space and calm to think more naturally. Debbie believes noticing small details and moments bring clarity and creativity, whether through the lens or the mind. She is a country bumpkin at heart, and is currently learning ("painfully slowly!") to transition her photography from phone to camera...
