Campbell Collins sold to Berkshire Hathaway’s TTI Inc

TTI, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, has acquired Campbell Collins Limited, in a transaction managed on behalf of the vendors by Initium.

Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Campbell Collins is a specialist distributor of power-related products from manufacturers of power supply and capacitor products. The company is a design-in distributor for a number of leading manufacturers including Gaia Converter and Ericsson Power Modules, as well as KEMET companies including BHC, Arcotronics and Evox Rifa, operating in the military, aerospace, medical, transportation, industrial and telecom/datacom marketplaces.

This deal is an excellent example of major North American acquirers targeting UK specialist companies as a route into new markets.

TTI Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a specialist distributor of passive, interconnect, electromechanical and discrete semiconductor components for industrial and consumer electronic manufacturers worldwide.
